EAT was started by husband and wife team Judy Brown and Randall J. Lane. While hunting for accessories for their own home, the couple was bored stiff by the offerings they found in a land dominated by drab crap from Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel. They wanted something classic and elegant but with a fucked-up, punk rock luxe edge. After seeing all of the bland products out there Judy and Randall decided to make their own. Those first pillows became so popular with friends and early clients they could barely keep up, and EAT was born. Fusing Randall's background in the fine arts and his ten years experience as a founding partner of Brooklyn-based design studio Graphic Havoc with Judy's experience in costume design and production for the video and film industry, the couple has created a line of home accessories combining luxurious traditional fabrics and an ironic sense of humor. The line includes unique one of a kind pillows, quilts and will soon be expanding its line to include bed linens and ceramics.
